  1. I would say this article a more general view of how most people think about cannabis. It would have been great if the writer has linked with the scientific findings too. Many scientists around the world are now much aware about the compounds in cannabis which can modulate our endocannabinoid system for treating many diseases. It has the potential to activate one of the major receptors GPCR of the body. It has been already proved that the CB2 receptors present in most of the immune cells of the body has the potential to boost up the immune response rather than decreasing it. So I dont find any scientific proof regarding the writer's view about its effect in AIDs and tuberculosis. I have been doing research in different phytocannabinoid compund and their synthetic derivatives to treat the inflammation of eye and pain and the result is positive. There are already 3 medicines available in US and canada from cannabis to treat multiple sclerosis and chemotherapy induced vomiting. Many countries in the world are already prescribing medical cannabis to patient where all other medicines are failed. In Canada, doctors can prescribe medical cannabis to treat the pain if no other medicines are producing good result.
By saying all of these things I am not making argument with writer but telling the scientific updates.
I agree with the writer that the haphazard use of cannabis must be controlled. Especially, THC is the one which produce feeling of high in users but there are some really non addictive compound like CBD ( cannabidiol) which has potential to work as anti inflammatory as well as analgesic.

  3. Dear Thapa ji, thanks for such an insightful updating comment. This article intends to highlight what you have largely agreed that its haphazard ab/use by self is harmful. For common people, such use should be discouraged, more so for mental patients. Regarding its relationship with the infections, it's the message that we need to convey to our brothers and sisters based on the real world observation (increased possibility). Hope it will emphasize its proper use and discourage harms associated with its ab/use by spreading sincere meaningful message. Thanks!
